The Satya Yoga school has adopted the values described in the Yoga Sutras

Yama (यम)
- abstinences -

Ahiṃsā (अहिंसा): non-violence

Satya (सत्य): the truth

Asteya (अस्तेय): non-theft, honesty

Brahmācarya (ब्रहमचर्य): chastity, purity

Aparigraha (अपरिग्रह): non-greed, non-grasping

Śauca (शौच): purity, cleanliness,

Saṃtośa (संतोष): contentment

Tapas (तपस्): austerities, abstinence

Svādhyāya (स्वाधयाय): the study of texts

Iśvarapraṇidhāna : (इश्वरप्रणिधान): dedication to “God”, abandonment of the fruit of actions
